Cosmetic injectables are prescription-only medicines in Australia, so a qualified health professional has to assess you before recommending one.
Your nurse reviews your medical history, medications, allergies and past treatments, assesses your skin and facial anatomy, and talks through what you’d like. You leave with a plan built for you, and a quote.

Australian rules don’t allow us to recommend or price prescription treatments before a consultation. The cost also depends on your anatomy, your goals and how much product you need, so we can’t quote honestly until we’ve met you. You’ll get an exact quote with your plan, before any treatment.
It varies with the treatment, the area treated, your metabolism and your lifestyle. Some treatments last several months; others last longer. Your nurse will tell you how long yours is likely to last, and when you might need maintenance, at your consultation.
Most people describe it as mild discomfort. We use topical numbing where it helps, and your nurse checks in with you throughout. Everyone’s tolerance is different, so tell us if you’re nervous.
It depends on the treatment. After injectables, you may have redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or small reactions where the needle went in. These usually settle within a few days. You’ll go home with written aftercare instructions.
Only a consultation can tell. Your nurse considers your medical history, medications, allergies, pregnancy status and goals before recommending anything.
Like any medical procedure, cosmetic injectables carry risks. Common temporary effects include redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, itching and mild discomfort. Your nurse explains the risks, benefits and possible complications before you consent, and you’re welcome to take time to think it over.
It depends on the treatment and how your body responds. Some show a change within days; others take several weeks. Your nurse will give you a timeline at your consultation.
